Active Solar Schemes for Customers

1. PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana

A nationwide scheme administered by MNRE, currently active and fully applicable in West Bengal.

Subsidy Structure (CFA):

  • Residential
    • Up to 2 kW: ₹30,000 per kW
    • 2 kW to 3 kW: ₹30,000 per kW (first 2 kW) + ₹18,000 for the 3rd kW
    • Above 3 kW: Maximum fixed subsidy of ₹78,000
  • Grouped Housing Societies & Residential Welfare Associations
    • GHS/RWAs: Common facilities upto 500kW

2. PM-KUSUM

While primarily targeting the agricultural sector, this scheme ensures energy security for farmers, active through state bodies like WBREDA.

Overview:

  • Decentralized ground-mounted solar plants (up to 2 MW) on barren/agricultural land.
  • Standalone off-grid solar agriculture pumps.
  • Solarisation of existing grid-connected agriculture pumps.
  • Combined Central & State support up to 60% of benchmark cost.
